Atlantic Oceanside Hotel and Event Center has openings for full-time, seasonal, groundkeepers. As a groundskeeper you will spend your time outdoors maintaining the overall appearance of the hotel property. You will ensure that the lawns, parking lots, walkways, patios and beach area are well kept and free of trash and debris.
We are looking for people who will safely and efficiently provide excellent customer service with a smile. Team oriented and a positive attitude are a must.
Job Duties:
- Water flowers using a hose and a watering can. Dead head flowers as needed.
- Sweep hard outdoor surfaces, pressure wash as needed. Pick up trash.
- Arrange pool, lawn and beach outdoor furniture neatly.
- Rake lawns and beach, bag debris and remove.
- Mow lawns using both riding and push mowers, weed whacking, hedging trimming and pruning.
Skills Required:
- Understanding or or ability to learn safety of equipment and regulations for workplace safety.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Hours and shifts may vary, and include weekends and holidays. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Sunday through Saturday, Overtime may be available and will be paid in accordance with federal and state law.
Physical Demands:
- Extended periods of standing and walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, carrying and lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions, to reach, handle, grasp and communicate.
Pay range: $16-$18 per hour, paid weekly.
